All Things Gear Reviews the ‘Excellent’ AKG K271 MKII Studio Headphones
All Things Gear have recently reviewed the K271 MKII studio headphones from AKG, giving you all the details you need to decide if these excellent headphones are right for you.

The reviewer found the headphones to be an overall good performer, providing a solid sound quality and a lightweight and comfortable fit for long listening periods.
The weight of the headphones was somehting that took the reviewer by surprise, noting ‘They may have a slightly scaled-back look to them, but the result is a light frame that puts comfort first.’ They also found the self-adjusting headband to provide an assured fit and the ear cushions gave a good fit and were comfortably tight to the ear.
For the affordable price tag, the reviewer also noted their suprise at the amount of accessories that came with the headphones, as the K271 MKII also includes a second velvet set of ear cushions, two types of cables (one straight and one coiled), as well as a 1/8-to-1/4 inch adapter.
The sound quality was noted to be great for studio use, with comments such as ‘The sound is generally balanced, offering good detail in the high frequencies, and a solidly flat mid response.’ and ‘I found it easy to mix vocals and guitars on the headphones’. They also noted that ‘They also managed to limit bleed well, making them a good option for recording.’
