Sound Technology introduces ‘Sound Technology Sessions’ video series

Leading UK musical instrument distributor Sound Technology Ltd is proud to announce “Sound Technology Sessions“, a new video series designed to showcase incredible live music from amazing musicians who use our instruments.

Launching the series we are proud to present Katy Anderson with an Oscar Schmidt by Washburn OU5E ukulele, Jim Watson (accompanied on drums by Simon Lea) with a Nord Electro 5D keyboard, and Owen Parker performing with his Larrivée LV-05E acoustic.

Katy Anderson is an immensely talented singer songwriter originally from the North East of England. Her music is best described as Soulkulele, soulful songs accompanied by a ukulele and a big, heavy heart. Here she performs her gorgeous song ‘Aisle’ using her Oscar Schmidt by Washburn OU5 LCE ukulele.

Jim Watson is a pianist, organ player, musical director and composer who has worked with Manu Katche, Zero 7, Paloma Faith, Meshell Ndegeocello, Katie Melua, Incognito, Brand New Heavies and more. For our session he performs an improvised  piece on the new Nord Stage 2 EX HA88, accompanied on drums by long-time friend and musical collaborator Simon Lea.

Owen Parker, UK-based composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer, performs an acoustic version of ‘Spirited Away’, a song he co-wrote with Jim Kerr from the recent Simple Minds ‘Big Music’ album. Owen has headlined Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage with Billy Bragg, been Grammy nominated (Pet Shop Boys) and has recording, writing and production credits including Simple Minds, Annie Lennox, Girls Aloud, James Morrison, Pet Shop Boys and Robbie Williams.
