The VDO Atomic Bold retains the same interlocking mechanics, same cabling and a similar look as the popular VDO Atomic Dot but is a larger fixture with higher, full colour output. Its unique octagonal-shaped design with simple connections allows it to work as a single light or in multiples to form a large array with additional Bolds or other VDO fixtures. In addition to industry-standard protocols such as Art-Net, sACN and DMX, Martin P3 control unlocks creative freedom to mix video mapping with DMX control.
The VDO Atomic Bold has a rich feature set of internal FX macros to quickly get a desired effect. At Martin UK distributor Sound Technology Ltd we’ve created a video reference library with quick links so you can see every effect (over 200!). These clips are designed to provide an insight into what pre-built effects macros are available, and please note that each effect can also have speed, colour & output level manipulated simultaneously. Both the Aura and the Main Beam effects can be active at the same time.
