Washburn and UK distributor Sound Technology Ltd are pleased to announce UK availability of the Apprentice Series acoustic guitars. The Washburn Apprentice Series is a trustworthy place for aspiring guitarists to begin their musical journey. Washburn’s history and experience ensures that beginners get a guitar that is the perfect balance of stability, tone, looks and an instrument that will serve them well as they progress.
The Washburn Apprentice Series consists of six models to suit all styles and budgets - two classic dreadnought models, the D5 and D5CE, a folk-style F5, two grand auditorium shaped guitars in the G40CE and G70CE and a smaller-bodied G-Mini 5.
The Washburn Apprentice D5 and D5CE feature a classic dreadnought body, known for its bold sound and great sound projection, with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides. The D5CE has a cutaway for easy upper fret access and a Barcus Berry preamp with built-in tuner for amplified performance.

The Washburn Apprentice F5 has a folk-sized body which can be more comfortable for smaller players. It also produces a more focused, intimate sound. It too features a spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides.

The Washburn Apprentice G40CE and G70CE both have a grand auditorium body shape, cutaway and Barcus Berry preamp with built-in tuner. The grand auditorium body features a larger lower bout than a standard dreadnought, producing more pronounced bass frequencies. Both have a spruce top with a choice of either flame maple back and sides (on the G40CE) or Ovangkol on the (G70CE).

The Washburn Apprentice G-Mini 5 is a smaller guitar than the F5 and is ideal for children or as a travel guitar. Available in both Natural and Black finishes, it features a spruce top with mahogany back and sides and includes a gig bag.
