Sound Technology Sessions are designed to showcase incredible live music from the amazing musicians who use our instruments. This latest release is our second performance video to feature Ace from Skunk Anansie playing his Larrivée D-50E.
In his second session, Ace performs the song ‘Phoenix’ which was originally included on Ace’s 2003 solo LP ‘Still Hungry’. This performance once again features vocals from Dannii Barnes.
Ace also took the time to talk to us about his beloved Larrivée D-50E in a short video interview. In between treating us to some of Skunk Anansie’s greatest hits he describes what he looks for in a great acoustic guitar, where and how his Larrivée had been utilised, how he approaches translating Skunk Anansie’s material into acoustic versions and how he has now found a “friend for life”.
