Crumar Instruments and UK distributor Sound Technology are pleased to announce the new Crumar SORRENTO and BURN. The Crumar SORRENTO is a modern take on the iconic 1970s "spinet" organ, designed for musicians who crave that vintage look and feel, with the benefits of modern technology. The Crumar BURN rotary simulator is a renewed take on one of most beloved effects pedals from Genuine Soundware and highly praised by both keyboardists and guitarists.
The SORRENTO features two 49-key synth-action manuals perfectly calibrated for organ playing with octave shift functionality, allowing for full organ performance in a more compact format. Onboard, you'll find three distinct organ voices: a warm full console tone wheel engine (derived from the famous VB3), a classic spinet organ sound reminiscent of the glorious rock and prog bands of the 70', and a gritty transistor organ with its own unique edge and character. Additionally, it includes a synthesized bass sound for full-range performance.
The SORRENTO breaks from tradition by intentionally leaving out a built-in rotary simulation and reverb — instead, it comes bundled with the brand new Crumar BURN pedal. This high-end effect unit provides rich rotary speaker simulation, reverb (spring or digital) all connected via the proprietary ONE-CORD system, offering both audio and power in a single cable.
The SORRENTO embraces the modular spirit of vintage instruments by offering two dedicated mono outputs: one for the organ section and another for the synthesized bass. This allows players to route each signal independently — for example, sending the organ through a rotary cabinet or effects chain, while directing the bass to a separate amp or subwoofer. Just like the original spinet setups of the 1970s, you're in full control of your sound on stage or in the studio. Additionally, you can still use the ONE-CORD output simultaneously.
Adding to its character, the onboard effects include a rich and powerful analogue distortion inspired by classic guitar pedals, and a fantastic ring modulator for experimental tones. Combined with its fast-boot hybrid architecture (a near-instant start up experience) and built-in display for editing and navigation, the SORRENTO is as modern under the hood as it is retro.
Importantly, the included Crumar BURN pedal isn't just an accessory — it's an essential part of the experience. It integrates seamlessly by providing power and audio in a single cable. The BURN delivers studio-grade rotary speaker simulation, classic spring or digital reverb, and extensive control options, including "Memphis-style" mode and "front-stop" behaviour.
Together, the SORRENTO and BURN form a powerful performance duo — compact, portable, and ready to plug into any setup.
But, don't miss the chance to experiment! Plug the instrument to your favourite rotary pedal, create your own pedal effect chain, connect it directly to a Leslie speaker or to a huge stack amplifier. Modularity is the key word: feel free to experiment with Crumar SORRENTO.

The Crumar BURN is also available separately. Building on the success of its predecessor, this next-generation BURN delivers a rich rotary speaker simulation, a choice of spring or digital reverb — all accessible through hands-on, front-panel controls.
Designed for both guitar and keyboard use, it features a switchable input impedance, cabinet simulation ON/OFF, and a headphone output for silent practice or monitoring.
The Crumar BURN has all the features that are required from a rotary simulation pedal. On-board controls for balance, angle and distance of the virtual microphones, speed and acceleration regulation. Switches for advanced features like the front stop and the "Memphis style" with which you can disconnect the bass motor. It features a great simulation of a spring reverb and a fantastic and accurate digital reverb active also when the rotary simulation is bypassed.
