Rhinegold LIVE is a concert series which aims to offer a unique and informal take on the classical recital experience.  AKG and UK distributor Sound Technology Ltd are pleased to sponsor the events, with all concerts recorded using the AKG C414.

Concerts are free to attend and include a free glass of wine beforehand. Artists perform in-the-round, offering an extraordinarily up-close and personal experience for both artists and audience members.

Each 50-minute recital is followed by an informal Q&A with the artist(s) and a Rhinegold editor, and artists are encouraged to select programmes that mean something to them.

Artists are hand-selected by the editors of Classical Music,International Piano and Opera Now magazines.

Upcoming

Trio Elegiaco

Monday 7th December 2015
6.15pm drinks reception | 7.00pm recital

If Rhinegold LIVE had an official ‘one to watch’ series, then Trio Elgiaco would certainly fit the bill! Fresh from their trio debut at the Sacconi Festival - where they received a standing ovation - John Paul Ekins (piano), Hannah Dawson (violin), and Pierre Doumenge (cello), will take to the Rhinegold LIVE stage to perform Tchaikovsky’s Piano Trio in A minor.

Though relatively new as an ensemble, Trio Eligiaco have each carved out successful careers individually, performing at such premier international venues as the Royal Albert Hall; Queen Elizabeth Hall; Wigmore Hall; Birmingham Symphony Hall; and as members of leading ensembles, including the Sacconi Quartet; Dante Quartet; Allegri Quartet; Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment; John Wilson Orchestra; Aurora Orchestra; English Chamber Orchestra; and the London Chamber Orchestra.

A Rhinegold LIVE first, the trio will perform only one work, but we promise that we are bending the rules for very good reason!

Programme

Piano Trio in A minor, Op. 50 by Peter Ilych Tchaikovsky

This concert is followed by an informal Q&A which will be conducted by Kimon Daltas, editor of Classical Musicmagazine.
