"This fella packs a punch".

Guitarist Magazine this month includes a round-up of non-cutaway electro-acoustic Dreadnought guitars between £1000 and £1500. Up against a Takamine TF340SBG, Yamaha LLX16 and Taylor DN3-E, the Larrivee D-03RE comes out on top gaining the highest 'test results' and is awarded the magazine's Guitarist Choice Award.
Part of the -03 Recording Series, the D-03RE features all solid wood construction with a Sitka Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides, single piece mahogany neck, ebony fretboard and bridge. In common with the other -03 guitars this guitar has a luxurious and durable satin finish.
"This fella packs a punch - there's plenty of warm, rosewoody depth and colour to the bottom end, the responsive dynamics suggest ample headroom, while the whole sound has great articulation and balance".
"An enthusiastic player that comfortably belies its entry level status".
To read the full round-up, pick up the July 2009 Issue (Issue 317) of Guitarist Magazine.
