KURZWEIL INTRODUCES PC361 PERFORMANCE CONTROLLER KEYBOARD
19th January '09

Kurzweil Music Systems will be showing the latest addition to the PC3 line at this year’s NAMM show in Anaheim CA; the PC361. The release of the PC361 follows Kurzweil’s most successful year in recent memory, as critics and players alike hail the PC3 Series as the new industry standard.Weighing in at 30 pounds, the PC361 offers the perfect balance between solid build quality and portability, combining all the standard PC3 sliders, buttons, wheels and pedal inputs with a 61-note lightning-fast synth action.

Also being shown will be the PC3’s full blown desktop editor as well as many new features that have been added to the latest OS, version 1.31. Over the past year we’ve listened to our customers, having implemented the most frequently requested features like Triple Saw and Hard Sync Square/Saw oscillators, 16 independent 48-step patterns for both pitch and velocity, seamless effects switching, and improved Leslie emulations for KB3 mode.

"Overall, the PC3’s sounds are the most realistic, brimming-with-character, and gig-worthy I’ve ever played on a hardware keyboard…" writes Stephen Fortner, Technical Editor for Keyboard Magazine. Jason Scott Alexander at Electronic Musician was equally impressed, writing that "There are far too many programs to break down, but they’re all winners. Impeccable!"

The PC361 is available now. Find out more at the Kurzweil website.
