BSS Audio Soundweb London Certified Training Program

BSS Audio and UK/ROI distributor Sound Technology Ltd are pleased to announce new BSS Soundweb Certified training at Sound Technology's office in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.


The two-day Level 1 Certified course has been designed to balance practical applications of the powerful Soundweb platform with in-depth technical knowledge of its capabilities.

By taking the Level 1 Day 1 course attendees will leave understanding the core features of the system and be fully capable of system specification, basic design and programming and troubleshooting.

Day 1 Syllabus

  • Hardware Overview- Features and typical applications of the whole product range
  • Creating a system schematic in ‘Main’ page from a customer’s spec.
  • Navigating the software design interface
  • Processing objects
  • Configuring BLU link in London Architect
  • Linking controls and creating a Fire Mute
  • Presets: the different types and how to create ‘parameter presets’
  • Creating Paging systems using London Architect
  • Control system programming – GPIO
  • Control system programming on the London BLU-8 configurable wall controller
  • Going online: configuring IP settings and matching devices.
     

By choosing to also attend the Level 1 Day 2 course attendees gain more advanced programming knowledge and have the option of taking the Level 1, CTS accredited exam to become a BSS qualified Soundweb programmer.

Day 2 Syllabus

  • Configuring CobraNet bundles in London Architect
  • Utilising the ‘Automixer’ processing object
  • Using the ‘Room Combine’ object for installs with flexible subdivided spaces.
  • Subranging- limiting the controllable range of objects to ensure safe and logical operation
  • Control system programming  on the adaptable touch-screen BLU-10 wall controller
  • Control system programming – Creating Custom Control Panels in London Architect
  • Configuring Acoustic Echo Cancellation systems for teleconferencing.
  • Applications Focus and Questions –some specific applications that BSS has been used for and how it was implemented.

Students who pass the Level 1 Certification Exam will receive proof of their proficiency in the form of an official BSS Audio Soundweb London Level 1 Certificate and will be listed, together with their company (if applicable), on the BSS Audio website. Students will also receive InfoComm CTS RU credits upon passing the exam.

The Certified training course is free for UK/ROI customers, clients and consultants, but registration is required as places are limited.
